E3 2004: Sony debut PSP handheld, Nintendo DS out as well.

Ferrago.com is reporting from E3 and has some news on the Sony Platstation Portable Unit, including a bunch of photos.

David Smith at 1UP has coverage of Sony's E3 press conference as well.

1UP reports that they spotted games in a video Sony played "like Death Jr., Hot Shots Golf, Frogger, an unidentified beachball game, a Tales game from Namco, Ape Escape, Armored Core, Syphon Filter, Spider-Man, MediEvil, Dynasty Warriors, Gran Turismo, Ridge Racer, Tony Hawk, Darkstalkers, Wild Arms, and Metal Gear Solid."

Nintendo DS

Nintendo has released information on their portable gaming platform, the Nintendo DS (below). Again, Ferrago has details and photos. UP1.COM has a list of games for the DS.

Gamespot has a hands on review of the DS.

1. Hi Jason, been awhile and have been reading your blog for a couple of months. Thought I'd check in and tell you I enjoy the blog (and miss SAR) and let you know that Penton is still alive, and moving forward. We no longer produce the Internet World event, but had a great Nanotech Conference this week; no longer publish Boardwatch Magazine, but our Natural Health pubs and shows are doing really great. Hope you're well.

2. all I want to know is how mutch both systems will cost and when will they be released

3. Now that both systems have released and the price points have been set, I think DS is the one for me. $150 Dollars for a DS plus all the fun Nintendo games and a long battery life versus $300 and a system that can eject a game disk at near mach 1 speeds? I would rather be entertained and know I will not put out someone's eye.
